J&K Police had issued a Recruitment Notification and invited online applications from the Permanent residents of J&K for more than 5300 posts of police constable. The details are as follows:

Who can apply for JK Police Constable Jobs
Applicants willing to apply for 5381 Constable posts in JK Police, must full fill the below mentioned eligibility conditions
1) Domicile: Applicants from J&K only are eligible to apply for the Jobs in JK Police. Applicants can apply for the post only for their respective district only.
2) Age Limit: Applicants age should be above 18 years and the maximum age must be less than 28 years. ie. Applicants born before 01-01-1988 and after 31-12-1997 are not eligible apply.
Note: The Cut off Date for determining the age limit is 1st Jan, 2016.
However for Serving SPO's / Voluntary Home Guards, with continuous service of 3 years (SPO's) and 5 years (VHG), the upper age limit is upto 37 years. While for Ex-Serviceman, relaxation in upper age is 48 years,
3) Educational Qualifications: Applicant must have passed the 10th Class (Matric) from any recognised Board.
4) Physical standards: Apart from the above mentioned age and Educational Qualifications criteria, applicant must also meet the below mentioned physical standards
Physical standards for Recruitment of constables in JK Police
Selection Process: JK Police promises Fair and Transparent selection process for the Recruitment of Constables in JK Police. It had clearly mentioned in the Advt, that the Police Department will be using the Latest technology and Equipment for the Recruitment process.
The Selection process comprises of Physical Endurance test, Physical standard Test and Written test
1) Physical Endurance test: This test will be of Qualifying nature and no marks are allotted to this test. In this test, you have to perform the following activities
Long Race: 1600 Meters in 6 Minutes (For Males) and 1000 Meters in 6 minutes (For Females)
Push-Ups (For Males Only): 20
Short-Put (4 Kgs): 14.5 feet in 3 attempts (For females only)
2) Physical Fitness test:Those who qualify the physical endurance test will be called for physical fitness test where the height and chest of candidates will be measured.
Those who qualify the PFT will be called for written test
3) Written test: There will be an objective type test of 2 hours duration comprising of 100 multiple choice questions.
How to apply?
Applicants who are willing to apply for Constable posts in JK Police and meet the above mentioned eligibility conditions can submit their applications online from 25th Oct, 2016 onwards.
Application Form: Applications are to be submitted through online mode only. For application form link, you have open the JK Police Official Website @ www.jkpolice.gov.in. and submit the application form, by following the steps as given. After your application forms gets submitted, the system, will generated Registration ID, that you must preserve till completion of selection process.
Application fee: The Cost of application form is Rs 300/-only. The fee can be paid in the either through online mode or Offline mode. If, you have Credit/Debit Card Or Net Banking, then you can pay fee online OR In case of absence of Online Payment facility, you can submit application fee through system generated challan form, in bank.
